ElevenEightySeven is a Single Player modification built on the Source engine. I acted as the Lead Game Designer while my immediate role was Level Designer. I recruited several international artists to aid with programing and asset creation.

 

I've been responsible for creating level layouts, lighting, prop placement, gameplay balance, optimization, documentation, creating faceposer scenes and implementation, sound design, story and script writing and team management.

 

The mod was created in three years. After it's release I created a small add-on DLC level called Rogue Train by myself while the rest of the team disolved and went on to do their own things.

 

The mod's campaign spans over ten maps following Valve's signature design philosophy regarding in-game story telling and breaking up action segments with puzzle segments right down to a mute protagonist. Dialogues are written around a nameless character which in essence was meant to be the player himself as an expriment to further emerse players into the story.

 

ElevenEightySeven was highly anticipated by the Half Life community and has been rewarded with a 8.4 score on ModDB and won tenth place in the 2010 Mod of the year awards. Thanks to it's success I was hired by Monochrome LLC to work as a level designer for Contagion.
